The working principle of the vertical shaft impact crusher is to accelerate the material to a higher speed through the high-speed rotating impeller, and then eject it, and produce high-speed collision and high-density crushing with another part of the material diverted around the impeller in an umbrella-shaped form. ‌This crusher is particularly suitable for processing various hard and brittle materials, such as rocks, abrasives, refractory materials, cement clinker, quartz stone, iron ore, concrete aggregate, etc. Its working process is roughly as follows: ‌

‌Feeding and diversion‌: The material enters the crusher through the feed hopper and is diverted through the divider. Part of the material directly enters the high-speed rotating impeller, and the other part enters the outer side of the impeller in the vortex crushing chamber through the bypass.

‌High-speed rotation and acceleration‌: During the high-speed rotation of the impeller, the material is accelerated to a speed of 60-70 m/s and ejected.

‌Impact and crushing‌: The high-speed projectile material first impacts and crushes with the material falling from the surrounding of the distributor, and then impacts the material lining in the vortex cavity together, forming a vortex motion. The material impacts, rubs and grinds multiple times in the vortex cavity, thereby achieving the crushing effect.

‌Discharge and circulation‌: The crushed material is discharged from the lower discharge port. The whole process forms a closed-loop multiple circulation, and the finished product particle size is controlled by the screening equipment.

The main features of the vertical shaft impact crusher include its high production capacity, high crushing efficiency and low energy consumption. In addition, due to the design of its internal self-circulation system, dust pollution is effectively reduced, while also reducing mechanical wear and extending the service life of the equipment.
